Simply put, 3D means three-dimensional, and 3D steel film is three-dimensional steel film.
Let's first briefly introduce the origin of 3D steel film.
The iPhone 6 went on sale in September 2014 with a 2.5D screen. Meanwhile, in March 2015, Samsung released the s6edge of the hyperboloid screen. Apple and Samsung, the two leading players in the mobile phone market, have updated their screens. Since then, in order to fully match the new screen, various manufacturers of mobile phone protective film have started a new round of upgrade of mobile phone steel film.
Mobile phone protective film market began to upgrade from 2D and 2.5D to 3D.
There are two main types of methods for producing 3D steel film.
One is all glass 3D. (The whole film is glass)
The other is the 3D (Carbon Fiber 3D, Alloy 3D) of other materials through glass splicing.
Of course, there is still a big gap between stitching 3D and all glass in aesthetics. After all, the screen of the phone itself is all glass. So we mainly talk about three-dimensional all-glass.
Technically speaking, there are four kinds of 3D toughening film for apple.
First, the hot bending process, the hot bending process is to use a hot bending machine to bend the film.
Second, the cold carving process, the cold carving process is to directly use CNC for fine carving, the plane of the glass inside hollow. Radius is formed outside.
Third, etching process, etching process is the first use of chemical liquids (hydrofluoric acid) to rot the surface of the steel film to form a groove, and then use CNC carving.
Fourth, gum dropping process, gum dropping process is to use glue directly on the edge of flat glass, gum dropping process is also called false 3D.
Among the four processes, the hot bending process has the highest production effect. And it can make big radians. The disadvantage of hot bending is its low stability. If you stick AB glue, it's easy to have white edges. Hot bending is relatively cheap.
Cold carving production efficiency is relatively low, there is no obvious soft threat, quality and price are high or low. Look at the location and strength of the factory.
The production efficiency of etching is higher than that of cold engraving. One small disadvantage is that there are etching lines. The advantage is that the exhaust is better than that of cold engraving. Etching process is generally to do high-end products.
Dispensing is a new technology which was only produced in 17 years, and it began to mature in the first half of 18 years. The appearance is relatively worse, but the exhaust is the fastest of the four. The price is about the same as the hot bend.
